About Us
Green Land Design is led by Kara and Simon, and we are based in the historic market town of Ruthin, in delightful Denbighshire. Established in 2003 in order to provide innovative and affordable design to arts and non-profit based clients, we pride ourselves on our versatility and ability to become hands-on team members during a project’s lifetime. We love tucking in to all sorts of design projects, whether it be web, print, packaging or branding.
Kara Massie
Kara worked in the financial industry for several years before turning to the Arts, working as a studio painter. The two diverse industries have found their home together in graphic design, and she has run Green Land Design since moving to the UK 9 years ago. In addition, she has taught part time in several design-related degree courses at Coleg Menai, Bangor.
Simon Proffitt
Simon left the world of research science for the more creative and rewarding career of design in 2004. In addition to designing for print, he has designed and built attractive, standards compliant and user-friendly websites using PHP, HTML and javascript since 2003. A keen sound/visual artist, he is also currently chair of the north Wales contemporary dance organisation Migrations.
